R&D’s industrial silicon bandsaw blades can last three to four times longer than normal industrial carbon bands. This band is made with tungsten silicon chrome alloy added to carbon steel. This gives the blade harder teeth and the ability to withstand higher temperatures. It also requires less tension to cut straight. These blades have milled teeth, so they’re uniform and sharp for a smoother finish.
This 1/2″ x 3TPI blade is ideal for resawing. It performs like a much wider blade using only half as much power, making it a good choice for band saws with motors under 1 HP.
